Spacious and nicely decorated co-working place with an outdoor balcony. Some of the rooms are small which might be a problem for big teams. It is a great place to attend networking events

Very nice and modern decoration with nice warm colours, the balcony area and the view are really nice, great facilities provided at this coworking space plus friendly staff members. Personally I think this is a very pleasant environment for working and overall was really impressed with the size of the office. Also this coworking space benefits from a stronger network and community of start-ups and generally the perks of joining them goes beyond just using their space. Their business hour is until 8pm better than some other spaces that close at 6pm. However the membership cost reflects the quality as the fees are somewhat higher than other spaces. Also the central branch has dedicated desk facilities that are not available at this branch. Lastly convenient location and close proximity to mtr,

“It makes the best of a smaller Hong Kong office size space,” probably the way I would describe the Sheung Wan branch of Garage Society in one sentence. However overall, it is rather lovely, both in style, comfort, and especially with the flexibility of the main lounge area from what I’ve seen during the event. However the general dimensions of the floor [slightly] weighs down on the positives.
Chic and comfy – The general appearance has a modern vibe that’s not only stylish but fits a working environment. The wooden furniture definitely lends to a polished look yet they’re sleek in design allowing for adequate room for your bag by your feet. And there’s a decent array of choices for yourself to choose, from a classic coffee table to a bar height table and matching stool.
Narrow hallways – Simply put. Although the lounge area is amazing, the hallway outside the elevators are tight enough as it is, making it awkward during social events to catch someone there when others are trying to make their way past you two.
Stocked(?) – I’ve never helped myself to their ‘amenities’ so I can’t be sure, but judging from the draft beer on tap, the massive fridge, and the fact nobody was complaining about a lack of anything. I think it’s fair to say that it shouldn’t be terrible.
Networking aplenty – It’s in Sheung Wan, which is close to Central, and both places hold a lot of modern businesses. You are surrounded by people who are potential colleagues, partners, and clients. Not to mention, the events hosted at this Garage Society is impressive and occur regularly.
Casual, friendly staff – Again, only been there for an event but the staff were friendly and I even had a few conversations with them. My only concern, which I can’t confirm, is that at the time I was there, the staff didn’t seem to be wearing any article of clothing or accessory that would allow for immediate recognition.
Heard you like walking. And stairs. – If you’re one who takes the MTR, Garage Society is about a 15 – 20 minute walk from the nearest exit. My only issue is that you’ll be walking upwards, on stairs. There are sloped paths that don’t require the walking of said stairs but will take a bit more time.

I attended a meet up program at GS @Sheung Wan. The co working place was cleared up for the event. It’s a big place with stocked up pantry. Though I didn’t use the meeting rooms, those looked bit cramped.

“Urban chic” is how I would describe the feel of the space, a place for millenials and fans of millenial culture to relax and work. This laid back atmosphere features a spacious terrace that comes complete with lounge chairs and even a putting mat for the golf aficionados out there. Inside, there’s a hub area where members can play their own music over the speakers and even enjoy a draft beer. And if you get stuck on a task, never fear! GS actively fosters a friendly culture, punctuated by nearly daily events, where members regularly help each other and even assist with networking.
The downside is, if you’re a strictly-business type professional who works best in a setting where suits and ties are the norm, you might find GS to be too relaxed and even too noisy. Add in the relatively cramped offices and you might decide that there are more suitable kospaces out there for you.
