This place is the mixture of not too modern or not too old; it’s the cool and unique working environment which gives positive vibes while working. Fresh water, hot coffee, high speed wifi and many more facilities are available at the place. Highly decorated meeting rooms with the facility of video conferencing rooms are available. You might face some problem due to electricity cut downs; though the cut downs aren’t regular. Cafe do have their backup generator but it might take time to start it. Wifi speed is good but once in awhile it may be slow. Otherwise wifi provides a very good speed all the time.

This is the place where you can sit back, have a coffee while completing your work. The wifi speed is really good at it. If you want then you can sign up for the monthly memberships or else you can just avail the daily passes for working on a particular day. Fresh coffee, water available with high frequency of various events all the time. So overall the place is really good.

My partner and I have spent the last 18 months working from different co-working spaces and The 1961 is definitely one of our favourite co-working spaces in all of SE Asia.

The location is perfect – down along the river and away from the craziness of the city centre. The space itself has a very cool vibe and there are frequent exhibitions and events taking place too, which are always interesting.

The regulars are a friendly bunch and the staff are very attentive too. The facilities are great and there are plenty of different spaces for working, meeting, relaxing etc. There are not as many formal networking events as in other co-working places, so most of the networking is informal.

The one thing that presents an occasional challenge is when there is a power cut, although this is the same across all of Siem Reap. There is now a generator onsite to power the essentials, like the internet, to ensure you stay connected.
